The Norwegian Experience. Norwex started in 1994 when a miraculous cloth and just a little water cleaned the bugs off a very dirty car windshield. Today, Norwex has become one of the most respected cleaning and personal care companies in the world.
From our humble beginnings in Norway—one of the most environmentally friendly countries in the world—focused on “cleaning without chemicals,” to our most recent launch of Norwex in Malaysia, we remain dedicated to our mission.
We realized early on that household pollutants negatively impact our health and our environment. Most of the chemicals in the products in our homes have never been assessed for their impact on human health. Indoor air pollution is one of the top five highest ranking environmental health problems in America, with chemical levels inside up to 70 times higher than outside. Research and information on the health effects of manufactured chemicals has not kept pace with their development and use. Norwex offers solutions that help people everywhere turn their homes into Safe Havens.
Norwex products include natural cleansers with plant- and enzyme-based ingredients and our revolutionary Norwex Microfiber cloths that use mechanical, not chemical, cleaning to remove up to 99% of bacteria from a surface using only water.* Our simple yet effective products can cut cleaning time in half. They’re also more cost effective than traditional cleaning products, because they not only help eliminate harmful, chemical-laden cleansers, but also single-use disposables like paper towels, floor pads and wipes for a savings of about $600 per year. So, they’re good for the earth as well as budgets. We also offer clean personal care products, like skin, hair and oral care that help reduce the chemicals that can build up causing Body Burden and affecting our health.
