Jody Tiernan owns a full service tax preparation, accounting and consulting business located in the Dayton, Ohio area. They specialize in preparing tax returns and providing bookkeeping services for self-employed persons, primarily Directors and Consultants for Mary Kay. Jody’s father began this business in 1980 with one Mary Kay consultant. Since the inception, they have completed more than 60,000 tax returns with over half of them being Mary Kay Directors and Consultants. Having spent time with actual IRS auditors, Jody understands what the IRS will and will not allow for home-based businesses. Jody has provided tax seminars to educate Directors and Consultants on how they need to account for their Mary Kay business on their personal return. He has traveled throughout the country, literally from coast to coast including California, Florida and Alaska, to provide this information and is always looking to expand his business. On Feb 1, 2006, Jody Tiernan, E. A. (Enrolled Agent), had taken over as the owner of Tiernan & Associates LLC. Tom Tiernan retired after a long and very successful career as the founder of the business.
