Don't Underestimate Someone

Love thy neighbor--and if he happens to be tall, debonair and devastating, it will be that much easier. ~Mae West

That gives one a little chuckle.  It is true isn't it?

As humans, we are drawn to things that are beautiful. Check out any year's list of the top billionaires.   As you read through the list, you began to look at the pictures attached and began to notice that most of these people did not "look" like what you thought a billionaire should look like. They did not look like the people you see on TV.   They may not be wearing Versaci or Gucci.

Many are non-descript.  If you saw them on the street, you would not give them a second glance.  You probably realize that not all successful people are glamorous, but somehow our natural tendency is to lean towards what is on the outside and what perceptions we have garnered from the media.

It doesn't matter what we look like, what matters is the drive that is within us.  Our parents told us, "focus on what's on the inside." (they are always right!) Don't Underestimate! Yet so many times, we get wrapped up in the way we or someone else looks.

Don't Underestimate By Assuming!

As direct sellers, we must never underestimate the inner-self. We must not lose focus on the true power of the individual.  The power does not remain on the outside, it is on the inside.

Have you ever been afraid to ask someone to host a show or buy a product because you assumed they would not be interested?  We must never assume.  So many times in my life you have assumed things and been totally wrong!  Now, instead of assuming,  you ask questions and listen.  You will never know someone until you take the time to talk with them.  When you talk with them you learn of the strength they possess.

You may know people in your downline or perhaps you, are the one people underestimated.  As direct sellers, consultants, designers...we must make sure we never underestimate any one.  We all know stories of people who have come from nothing, have worked very hard at their business and now are doing very well for themselves.

Don't never underestimate someone because if you do, you could be losing an opportunity to help others and ourselves.

Don't Underestimate!
