Sometimes when we try something new we look for instant gratification but in business long term consistency pays off!

Most people also look for instant gratification when when they start a business. Often the mentality of a new business owner is that they are open and ready for business so now the phone will be ringing off the hook and their website will be blowing up.

New distributors often start to tell people about their business and then expect things to start happening quickly. They check frantically to see if people are ordering or inquiring. Sometimes it works out that there are some bites early on and that is exciting!!

But the reality is sometimes it takes some time to get the ball rolling.  Many get frustrated early and give up because of the lack of instant success.

What is the answer to this problem?

Consistency Pays Off!

It’s to stay consistent! Although it may seem like you’re spinning your wheels with no success, you never know the results that could come in the future.

Why? Because over time you will get better with your approach to the business and also networking skills will improve.

Effective leaders

Consistency pays because it builds skills at the same time the new rep is putting the word out.

While you wait, you should continue to share your business and to educate yourself in your business and continue to learn from successful people. This doesn’t always mean exclusive to the company that you are representing.  Rather you can seek out other gurus that provide the basics that can work with any company.

During the time that you’re being educated, your confidence will grow.  Believe it or not, people will take notice. Also you will not feel the need to hound people to learn about your business or to try your product.  Instead, you will actually draw people to you.

This is why it is so important to remain consistent because once all of this occurs you want to be ready for your customers.  You don’t want to have to tell people six months later that you are no longer in business.  This will also give people the impression that you made an uneducated decision that you couldn’t follow up on.  Many people already feel that they don’t have what it takes to succeed at selling or in this business period and they will guess that you didn’t have it either.

So stay consistent in learning how to conduct your business and being determined to work your business. Don’t give up on yourself!

Network marketing is a wonderful opportunity for you to build a business and future for yourself but instant gratification is short lived and consistency will add up!
